Ever love a classic piece of artwork so much that you want to recreate it? Well this was the project for me! We were given the opportunity to recreate a classic art piece in any modern art style of our choosing. Naturally, I decided to go with animation. I wanted to recreate Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night. I wanted to focus on the night sky's swirl before leading into an entirely animated piece from the bottom up of Van Gogh's work.

With Van Gogh's piece what I mainly wanted to focus on was the swirl seen in Gogh's piece. I wanted to show the exact movement. With each layer I took time in adding and taking away, while continuing to move the beautiful sky strip forward.

Above is a small part of my animation in several layers.

This animation consists of a total of 109 layered frames.
